Te Reo Hikareia – Maori Immersion Assessment and Literacy is a three year initiative aimed at raising student literacy achievement through teacher professional development in assessment, data analysis and teacher practice in literacy.

There are 10 Tuhoe schools involved in the project

• Te Kura Toitu o Te Whaiti-nui-a-Toi
• Te Kura Kaupapa a Rohe o Waiohau
• Taneatua
• Te Wharekura o Ruatoki
• Tawera
• Waimana
• Te Kura Mana Maori o Matahi
• Kutarere

Whole staff and Literacy Lead Teachers professional development and workshops will be provided. Dates, times and venues are yet to finalised.
